Shake it up?

Unfortunately I have nothing new to speak of.

I work, hang out, sleep, then repeat. I need to break out of this routine and shake things up.

Heroes and movies

I caught the trailer for Hancock a while back, and have been looking forward to it. It’s a shame it won’t be out until July.

This brings me on topic with superhero movies – I can’t wait until Iron Man, which is actually only several days away. I’ll be checking that one out on opening night. Now’s just a good time for movies, overall.

Double the number

In an effort to get into regularly working on the blog, I updated the About page with double the number of facts. Crazy, I know.

It’s been a busy month, overall. I’ve worked a lot, and even got Employee of the Month. I’m proud of it, but honestly… I’ve just been doing what I’ve been trained to do. I can easily attribute my work ethic to my parents; they’ve always been great role models in that sense. They probably still think I’m the laziest person they know, though.

Let’s look forward to tomorrow’s post. Why? Because it’ll be when I blog two days in a row… for the first time in months. In the mean time, you should entertain yourself with TypeRacer. It’s just what it sounds like – you can race people while… typing.

Work, weather, mixes

I’ve worked two days in my new position at work and it’s great. I’m learning a lot and I’m challenged everyday. Sorry there was no update yesterday – but  I was pretty tired when I got home.

I’m still working on a Muxtape, so if you were wondering about it, check back in a day. I’ve put a few songs on it and it’s pretty awesome. I’m still going to add to it so that’s why it’s not up yet.

It snowed twice this week. Twice! I thought spring was here, it was sunny and starting to warm up. When I woke up the other day everything was blanketed in snow. I shouldn’t have been as surprised as I was, but it still shocked me. Pictures of that shall be posted.

Making ends meet

For those that don’t know – I currently work in retail; I’ve been cashiering at a consumer electronics store to make ends meet. As I’ve mentioned in the About section, I’m still figuring out what to do with my life. For now I career search and pay the bills with this job. It’s not how I envisioned life after college, but you have to start somewhere.

Today I start a new position at work. They are putting me on the sales floor – meaning higher pay, and more to do. I’ve sold stuff before, and I think I’m good at it. I’m a little nervous though. We’ll see how it goes.

The new mixtape

I remember back in the day when mixtapes were great. Mix CDs still kind of are, too. The concept is always the same just the format changes. That’s why the Muxtape seems so awesome to me. It’s another way of putting something together for others to hear. Just put songs you have on your computer and send it to a friend. I’m a true believer and I haven’t even put one together yet. I will, though… you wait.

I challenge you, dear reader(s?) – put together a muxtape of your own and post it here. I’ll have one up for you all shortly.

More facts and Smash Bros.

I updated the About section with 5 more facts so if you haven’t caught it, go check it out. I’m not really sure how many of those facts I’ll add, but I don’t see myself putting a cap on it… so, there’ll be a lot more on the way.

I’ve been playing the Wii a lot, lately. I picked up Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and love it. It’s easily one of the best games I’ve played in a long time. I may write more on it, but don’t feel like going into details for now. Storm, a friend from college, has posted a review of the game on his website, wii.tv. Below is the mentioned review.

Starting anew

One day I’ll get the hang of blogging and actually keep up with it…again. This brings me back to the days when I used to run amorsaid.com. Don’t go to that site. It’s no longer mine and it’s not a blog. It’s… not safe for work. Maybe sometime I’ll own that domain again.

For now I’ll bring back the title “Amor said”. It just sounds great. I mean, that’s all this is about. I’ll write about my life, thoughts, and other randomness. Will it be interesting? That’s the one thing I can count on.

First on the agenda, I added an About section. Feel free to check it often, it’s one of those things I’ll continue to change.  For now it has only 5 facts about me. There’s a lot more, of course, but I will go deeper into that later.

Secondly, I had some fun with Photoshop. If there was such a way to make this a reality, I would. It’s not that I love myself that much, I don’t. I just think it’d be fun to see how long I could stand myself. See below:
